Summary: How do you apologize if you can't? How do you say sorry if these words just don't want to escape your mouth? 

 

"It’s you?“ Ryo said when he opened the door.

“Yes…is it okay?” Yamapi answered silently. Will you ever let me into your apartment again? he actually meant to ask. It had taken him nearly three hours to find the courage to knock at the other’s door. How pathetic he was. Instead of walking to this place right away, he had been sitting at a park bench in the freezing cold for hours…

“It’s okay…” Ryo mumbled. I’m glad you did the first step, he wanted to say, hiding his mobile phone in the pocket of his sweater. The last three hours he had spent staring at Pi’s number… What an idiot he was.

 “Can I come in?” Pi avoided the other’s glance. I’m sorry I said I hate you.

“Sure.” Ryo nodded his head. I’m sorry I said  you are useless.

Pi looked at the kitchen table. “You were cooking?” I’m sorry I said NewS would be better without you.

“Muffins…” Ryo answered, looking into the same direction as Pi. I’m sorry I said you suck as a bandleader.

 

Sorry for telling you to just leave and stay with Kanjani. Without you we would be lost…

 

Sorry for saying that you always put your own interests over everyone else. I know you always care…

 

Sorry for blaming you for things that weren’t your fault. I just wanted to hurt you.

 

Sorry for blaming you for achieving your dreams. It’s okay to go on a solo tour.

 

Sorry for telling you that you were envious. You are never envying anyone…especially not me.

 

Sorry for telling you that you were selfish. I know you are always worrying about the group…

 

Sorry for slapping you.

 

Sorry for hitting you back.

 

I don’t hate you. I love you.

 

You aren’t useless. I need you.

 

“Do you want some coffee?” Ryo broke the silence, still avoiding to look at the other.

No, I don’t need coffee. I want you. Yamapi hugged Ryo from behind. Then he gulped. On Ryo’s face there was a tiny smile. Did he say the last words aloud?

“I want you too.” Ryo answered.
