Aiba’s gaze shifted towards Jun’s body, scanning his well-shaped upper body and his slender legs. “I really should hate you, Jun…” he grumbled.
“Eh?” the latter blinked in confusion.
“Just look at me!” Aiba complained. “Next to you, I look like walrus.”
Jun rolled his eyes. “Don’t be stupid, Masaki! You look great.”
“You’re right.” Nino glared at his friends.
“Who’s right?”
“Both of you.” Nino frowned. “Jun’s an offence to every guy. But better looking like a walrus than like a toothpick.”
“Oh God.” Sho sighed. “Jun is right. You two are being stupid. You’re both amazing the way you are.”
“Yeah.” Aiba glared, exchanging annoyed glances with Nino. “Well, of course you can talk, Sho.”
“I’m on Masaki’s side here.” Nino nodded his head. “If I had your abs, I’d tell others that they’re gorgeous too.”
Ohno watched the scene play out in front of him in surprise. He had never thought that Jun would be able to gather all their friends and make them pose for him… naked. Jun really had to be determined to achieve that. He carefully glanced towards Jun, smiling slightly when he saw the other’s bright smile and his proud expression.
For a second, when their eyes met, Ohno felt something tug at his heart almost painfully. But it was only for a moment so he decided to pay no attention to it.
Instead of thinking about the scene in front of him and instead of paying too much attention to Jun’s wonderful body, he angled for his pen and started to draw what he was seeing in front of him. First he was feeling a bit unsure about it, but soon the movements of his hands became faster, fiercer and more confident, his fingers almost running over the paper in front of him. He didn’t even realize how he drew one picture after another, always capturing the things that were shining the most, overpowering the whole scene. The intense look in Jun’s eyes. Aiba’s smile. Nino’s smirk. The way Sho leaned against the wall, a dreamy expression on his fac. Jun’s beautiful neck. The little sweat drops on Aiba’s forehead. The way Nino looked at Aiba when he thought that no one was watching. All these little moments which were much more meaningful than a simple copy of the scene in front of him. He finally understood what his teacher had meant when he told him that technically he did alright, but that he tended to forget about the important things.
Finally he had learned to put his feelings into his drawings, making them more beautiful than they ever were.
Aiba blushed deeply. “I’m not that pretty…” he stuttered, when he looked at one of Ohno’s picture.
“Yes, you are.” Ohno told him calmly, his voice lower than usual. “You all are.” He didn’t even realize how Jun’s cheeks flushed in a slight red when he saw one of the pictures. Him leaning against the wall, and looking out of the window, with a thoughtful and almost soft expression.
“Masaki’s right. You are insane.” he grumbled to diffuse his embarrassment by how pointedly Ohno had pictured him.
Ohno chuckled slightly. “Says the guy who is standing in front of me, naked.” he teased, raising his head to look at Jun directly. For a moment he felt it, how something invisible tugged at his feet, about to push him away from his seat and make him rush towards Jun to grab him and push him against the wall…and kiss him fiercely.
The feeling was so intense that it almost overwhelmed him. And for a moment he was about to jump up for real… when he realized that they weren’t alone. The others were still here. Just like that his senses came back, making him realize that there was no way he could kiss Jun. Ever.

“So…”
Ohno almost drew back in surprise when he realized that Jun’s face was so close to his that their noses were almost touching. “Yes?” he chuckled slightly, trying to hide back his amusement when he saw the proud expression on Jun’s face.
“I won.” Jun smiled brightly and Ohno couldn’t help but grin too. Honestly, he’d secretly wished for Jun to win because his curiosity as to what the other had planned had been killing me. Was it so embarrassing that Jun didn’t want to go alone? Or was it too dangerous?
Jun grinned a bit when he saw Ohno’s curious glances, but he didn’t want the other to know anything about his plans. Instead, he decided to change the topic. “How are you and your grandfather doing?”
“Well, I guess.” Ohno stuttered. “But… I’m not sure…” he looked at Jun helplessly. “Did he change?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, during the time my parents and I were away, did he change?”
“Yes, I guess.” Jun mused. “Every father or mother would change, right? But, actually, he always was similar to how he is now.”
“For real?” Ohno asked incredulously.
Jun chuckled. “What are you thinking about?”
“He’s nice and he lets me do whatever I want. I’d actually call him fun.” He shrugged a bit. “I just don’t understand why such an honest guy would oppose the marriage of one of his children?”
“Ah.” Jun sighed, finally understanding. “You mean your parents’ marriage?” he tilted his head. “Things are often not as simple as they seem…” he paused. “Do you want me to gather some info?”
“Eh?”
“Well, I’m sure I could dig up a few details about what happened back then.”
Ohno’s eyes were gleaming in amazement. “Really? That would be great!” He paused. “You know, I don’t want to avoid him or anything like that. No matter what you find out, I won’t run away. But I want to understand him…”
“Well…” Jun smiled sympathetically. “I can understand that.”

Sakura sighed in frustration. “Why do I have to ask him about Ohno-san?”
“Because you are Daddy’s little darling.” Jun teased.
“Yes, but you are Daddy’s little heir.” Sakura argued back in a similar, almost patronizing, tone.
Jun shrugged. “You’re still Daddy’s little darling.”
Sakura sighed heavily. “Alright. I’ll ask him.” She paused, looking at her brother curiously. “By the way, you’re looking good. Going to a party? It’s only midday, you know.”
“Yep.” Jun nodded his head, angling for his jacket. “A fashion party.”
Sakura frowned. “Why are you so happy then? I thought you weren’t into those kinds of gatherings?”
"True, I’m not.” Jun grinned. “But let’s just say that today, my companion is quite pleasant.” he joked.
“Well, good for you.” she smiled a bit. When Jun was about to leave the house, she grabbed his sleeve again. “I almost forgot, please say hi to Yuri, okay?”
“Yuri?”
“Yeah, she’s one of my friends.” Sakura chuckled a bit. “And she has a massive crush on you.”
Somewhere in the back his mind, a picture of the shy girl popped up again, the one who he had met at Ohno’s party. “Great…” he sighed.
“Please.”
“Alright, and I’ll tell her you said hello.” he agreed, before he jumped down the stairs and hurried out the door.
“I can’t believe this…” Ohno grumbled in annoyance. “You’re dragging me along to a fashion party?” He looked down at his attire. “But thanks for letting me borrow a shirt.”
“No problem.” Jun smiled. “So, you’re not excited about the party?”
“Well… it’s just not what I expected.”
Jun leaned back into his seat, grinning while he parked his car. “What? Did you hope for something a little more intimate?”
Ohno frowned deeply at that, muttering something incoherently. In the end, he decided against answering and silently followed Jun into the building. Every answer would have given away his true feelings… that he felt disappointed and slightly angry that Jun had tricked him into this. He had expected something else, yes.
The minute he stepped inside, he felt overwhelmed. He didn’t want to be in a place like this at all. But he had lost a bet… and well, he was here with Jun. At least it wasn’t all bad. His eyes followed Jun around the room, seeing how he perfectly integrated into the crowd.
Ohno took a sip from his drink, smirking a bit when Jun came back to him. “You really fit well here.”
“You think so…”
“Well, you like it, right?”
“Nope.”
Ohno pulled his eyebrows up in surprise. “You don’t like it here?”
“No, I hate it.” Jun admitted. “The only thing that makes these events pleasant is when one of my friends joins me. Sometimes Nino comes along. Aiba often accompanies me, but he got dumped by one of the guys here so…”
Ohno listened to Jun’s words intently, still blinking in surprise. “You don’t like it here… and today?”
“Today you’re here with me.” Jun answered simply, without clarifying further.
Ohno tilted his head, before a warm smile curled around his lips. So, he had made this event more pleasant for Jun. That was definitely enough motivation for him. Still, he wondered… “If you don’t like it, why are you here?”
“It’s work.” Jun explained. “You know my father is a huge name in the fashion industry, right? And that I’m writing a blog and articles for some fashion magazines?”
“I understand.” Ohno sighed. “So this is work for you. I’m sorry…”
“You don’t need to apologize.”
“What do you want to do?” Ohno asked curiously, his dark eyes almost piercing Jun in expectance. “I mean, what do really want to do instead of being in the fashion industry?”
Jun smiled warily. “I’d like to write. For real, you know? Novels…”
“But... that’s great!” Ohno called out. “You’re good at writing. I know that, I’ve read pretty much all your articles. You should definitely write, Jun.”
Jun smiled slightly, looking at Ohno thankfully. “Thanks. I’m glad you think like that.” He paused. “But unfortunately it’s not that simple for me…”
“Just try it.” Ohno told his friend firmly. “If you don’t try it, you won’t know. Don’t give up if you haven’t tried.”
Jun stayed quiet for a few seconds and just when Ohno thought that he had pushed him too far, he chuckled. “You are the only one pushing me like that, really. Alright, if you say so, I’ll give it a go…” he grinned, grabbing Ohno’s arm to take a look at the watch on his wrist. “Talking about… How long have we been here for?”
“Two hours I guess.” Ohno smiled.
“Perfect.” Jun grinned. “Just wait here, please. I’ll be back in a minute.” He put his glass on the counter, and walked back to the crowd. He looked around, trying to find someone in particular and waved as he recognised her among everyone else. “Yuri-chan?” With that, he hurried to the girl, remembering the promise he had given to his sister. She was obviously overwhelmed and incredibly happy to see him that Jun had to smile a bit. She was nice, no doubt about that. And shy. When he had first met her, he thought she was one of those naïve girls that just wanted to get some attention, no matter what. But thankfully, she was alright. She was Sakura’s friend after all.
Meanwhile Ohno wasn’t able to remove his gaze from Jun, his stomach was clenching almost painfully when he saw him talking and smiling at Yuri. Did he like her? Was she his newest girlfriend? It wasn’t exactly a secret that Jun was changing his girlfriends every few weeks. So, was she his new girl?
Ohno chuckled nervously, rubbing his temples, while he tried to fight back his anger. He wasn’t even sure why he felt so nauseous about it, and why it bothered him so much… but he just hated it!
Before he could actually do anything about his feelings, he felt a hand wrap around his arm. “Let’s go.”
Ohno blinked in surprise, he hadn’t even noticed that Jun had returned. He smiled in relief, before he blinked. “Wait… go?”
“Yes, we’ve been here for two hours. That’s enough. Now we can finally enjoy rest of the day.”
Ohno laughed slightly when Jun tugged him along. He had feared that they would spend the whole evening here, but it seemed like Jun had other plans.
“It’s rare to see stars out here…” Ohno mused, looking at the sky in awe.
Jun smiled, stretching a bit. He was lying on a blanket, right next to Ohno, looking up at the night sky with him. “If there’s a place you could see them, it’s here…”
“I can’t believe it…” Ohno mumbled. “It’s the same sky we saw in the city, but still it’s so different.”
“Only an artist can say something like that.” Jun answered when he thought about what Ohno had said. The simplicity of Ohno’s words and the depth behind them had hit him unexpectantly.
Ohno smiled slightly, shifting his gaze towards the sea and the little beach. “Where are we anyway?”
Jun smirked. “Still in Tokyo. The suburban area though…”
“I know that.” Ohno glared a bit at Jun’s teasing. “I mean… what is this place? Who does it belong to?”
“It’s yours.” Jun answered dryly.
“WHAT!?”
Jun smiled. “It’s part of your grandfather’s property.”
“No way…” Ohno sat up a bit, staring at the area around him. “So it’s his?”
“No, it’s yours.” Jun smiled. “Ohno-san bought this the moment he had heard that his son had a child. Your name’s the one on the documents. This belongs to you.”
Ohno stared at Jun in surprise, realizing that the other wasn’t lying to him, but still… this was so unbelievable. His grandfather had done something like that? He had bought a beach for him? It was crazy… in a good way. “It’s beautiful.” he mumbled. “Thanks Jun.”
The other blinked. “For what?”
“For showing me so many things.” Ohno explained. “Originally, I only came here because I felt like it was my duty. I wanted to make up with my grandfather, because my father had never been able to do so. I wanted my father to be able to rest in peace. But I thought it would be like a nightmare living here, with people who would look down on me and laugh about me… but it turned out to be completely different to what I imagined. Thanks to you.”
Jun wavered, not sure what he should say in response, but then he smiled, turning around to face Ohno. He tugged at the other’s shirt. “I want my shirt back.”
Ohno chuckled. “I’ll give it back to you tomorrow.”
“No.” Jun’s smile grew more wary now, almost nervous, his eyes darker than usual. “I want it back now.”
“What…” Ohno blinked in surprise, looking directly at Jun now. For a moment he got lost in Jun’s dark eyes, looking deep down into them. After a few seconds, he was totally lost in them. He didn’t feel the urge to fight at all, especially not when he felt Jun’s fingers touching his face softly. Ohno’s lips curled into a warm smile, his hands moving over Jun’s shoulders when he bent forward a bit to meet Jun’s lips.
This was so far from everything he had dreamed of. And still… it happened. Just like in a dream. Ohno just hoped that he would never wake up from it.
