Meanwhile Jin struggles for his own destiny... together with his brother Ryo and his friend Jun. But how far are they allowed to go? Trying to pass the borders of their existence they try to find the truth... and their fate.
Can you decide on your own destiny?
Pi dropped down to the floor, next to Mika. “Your husband is a meanie.” He rolled on his back, frowning when she chuckled. “Really! He is such a bully and so impatient.”
Mika laughed, sitting up a bit. “That’s why I’m his wife… and not his student.”
“I can’t believe what he made me do… I have never felt that exhausted before… He is just so strict.” Yamapi grumbled.
Mika smiled warmly, patting Yamapi’s head. Her feelings for him were like the ones for a child. She slowly became his older sister. “But you also learned a lot, right?” she smiled. “I know he is strict and demands a lot. But in exchange you are making the progress of your life. It will change everything for you! Just imagine what you can do now… and what you will be able to do when you finish his training.”
Pi sighed a bit. “You are right.” he admitted silently. “I should learn to become stronger… Sensei knows a lot and I can learn so much from him.”
“See?” Mika smiled. “That’s the right way to approach this. If you don’t feel it, you won’t do it correctly.”
“Okay, you won.” Pi got up again. “I’ll go back to him and tell him that we can continue… with whatever mean thing he had planned for us.”
Mika laughed a bit when she saw the determined way Pi was walking towards Kimura now. She twinkled at Kimura who showed her a thankful smile. Secretly she felt really joyful at that. Kimura needed her – always – and this feeling made her feel so happy and thankful. He accepted her help and her support. Even when it was just for something simple like this here. That’s how important she was for him.

“Sensei! You aren’t listening…”
The voice of a pouting girl pulled Sho out of his thoughts again. He looked at her with a warm smile. “Sorry Kyoko-chan.” He lifted her up a bit and placed her on the hospital bed. “So… your fever is away?”
“Yes Sensei.” she chirped happily.
“No coughing anymore?“
“No.”
“You are eating properly?”
“Yes!”
“Then…” he made a meaningful pause. „I can proudly announce you that you are healthy again.”
“Yatta!!” she jumped down from the bed, hugging Sho out of the blue. “Thanks for making me healthy!” she giggled happily. “So I can play outside again and go swimming?”
He patted her small head. “Of course.”
“Did you hear that mommy?”
Kyoko’s mother smiled happily, bowing towards Sho. “Thanks Sensei!”
Sho smiled a bit, watching the little girl rushing outside. He leaned back, closing his eyes. He was actually just enjoying this moment, simply dwelling in it, while he was thinking of nothing particular. But then, there it was again. Jun’s picture. A smile on his lips. He had smiled. Maybe not directly towards Sho, but he had smiled… while he had been with Sho. And somehow Jun’s smiling face couldn’t leave Sho’s mind anymore…
What did this mean for them? Did he have a chance? The way Jun treated him was slightly different to before… as if something had been working into his mind. It was as if he started to open up, slightly, but still…he opened up.

“Come, Jin-chan.”
Jin looked up to his mother, his eyes looking at her curiously. Then he took the hand she was offering him and followed here. “Where are we going to mommy?”
She smiled inscrutably. “It’s a surprise.”
He giggled happily, following her through the rooms until they reached a small and comfortable room, located at a calm and secure area of the house. A tiny bed was in it. Jin’s eyes scanned the bed curiously, but he was too small to look into it. His mother smiled, lifting him up a bit so that he could look into the bed. “See…” she whispered. “That’s your little brother.”
“He is so tiny.” Jin blinked in surprise.
“Yes.” She chuckled. “That’s why he needs you. Without you he is helpless…”
“He is?” Jin’s voice sounded pretty proud. “He needs me.”
“Yes, because you are his big brother.” For a moment something in his mother’s eyes got dark, like she was afraid. “Listen Jin…” she looked at the wall. “I shouldn’t tell you that. Actually I’m not allowed to. Promise me you won’t tell anyone…”
Jin blinked for a moment, looking at her curiously. “Yes, I promise.”
“And promise me you will keep these words in your heart.”
“Okay.”
She smiled, hugging him tightly. “No matter what happens, you two will always have each other. You will never be alone…”
“I understand that.” Jin nodded earnestly. “Because we are brothers.“
“Yes.” She smiled. “Because you are brothers” Then she got earnest again. “When the time comes something dark will open up inside you… please, promise me, no matter what… fight it!”
“Fight what?” Jin asked in surprise, feeling that what she was telling him here was more important than anything else.
For a moment his mother looked scared. “You will know when the time comes. When it does… remember it.” She angled in her pocket for something. “Here. Your father left it before he died.“
Jin blinked at the necklace. He felt both attracted and disgusted by it. Something in it was making him scared. When his mother put the necklace around his neck, it felt heavy… as if something was pulling him down. “What’s this?” he asked.
“I don’t know.” she said silently. “But your father told me that it’s important. And that his oldest son should wear it.“
Jin looked down at the necklace. “It doesn’t feel like that…” he mumbled. “It feels like it doesn’t belong to me. Like it doesn’t want to be with me…”
Back then he hadn’t understood his own words… neither had his mother. Much later he had realized it… that the necklace wasn’t his friend. It wasn’t his enemy either, but it was simply not made for him. It didn’t belong to him! Why did the other men in his family never realized it? The necklace had pulled him down.
A being needed to have feelings, also the bad ones. One could only grow and live when learning how to deal with sadness and doubts and anger. How did his ancestors not see it? Why? It was so clear to him.
Jin looked at Ryo who was curling up on the blanket right now. He smiled a bit. Back then when he had seen the little child in his bed, he had sworn to always protect it. His little brother. The most cherished treasure in his world.
Jin lied down next to Ryo, pulling the younger one into his arms to hold him protected. He blinked when he felt some sheets of paper between Ryo’s hands. Ryo was painting again? He looked at the picture curiously… and out of a sudden he felt how his heart stopped beating for a moment.
Yamapi? The Hunter he had met during this one fateful night. When he had wanted to die before he would kill his brother. It had been that day when Jin had found out about this legend… that the oldest brother would either kill the younger one or die himself.
He didn’t want to kill Ryo… he didn’t even want to be a danger for the other. And right at that moment when he had decided to die, he had met Yamapi. There was something in the other’s appearance…something special. Yamapi… a Hunter. But not a normal one. Jin had sensed it immediately - a connection to himself and to his family.
And during this moment he had felt it. That dying wouldn’t solve anything. It wouldn’t help his brother, nor would it kill this curse. But fighting helped! Hope and strength would help him to fight this darkness. By then Jin had realized that it was this curse his mother had been talking about… the darkness inside him that might kill his brother once.
He had to stop it. The moment he would feel it, he had to fight it. And end this stupid legend. Hence he had left the necklace behind. He didn’t need it anyway… besides that it had never been his. The necklace never wanted to be at his side. Maybe it would lead Yamapi? It was like a spark of hope Jin had, that this Hunter, one of those that were still connected to his family without their own knowledge, would be able to lead the necklace correctly, to feel its real purpose. Because Jin himself was too deep inside this story to find out the truth.
Pi would find out about his destiny, the real reason why the hunters had been made, and he would fight for it. And for Jin. In Pi’s hands the necklace was not only safe, but also used in the right way.
The moment Jin looked down at the picture Ryo had painted, he knew he had been right. Yamapi’s face was looking at him directly. Next to him there was another man, an older one, also a Hunter. Jin could see it clearly. This specific sign in his eyes… this aura… like Yamapi he was one of those Hunters who hadn’t forgotten their destiny yet.
The moment Jin saw this picture he felt his heart warm up.
There was hope…

I still have a feeling that necklace is meant for Ryo but for what reason... I can't wait to find out more!!
I can't wait to find out what is Kimura's and Pi's role is in this!!
I think you have a typo... I guess you meant to write Kyoko's mother?
"Mika’s mother smiled happily, bowing towards Sho."
