Title: Azure (Sequel to my Destiny One-shot) Chapter 12 (of 19): A matter of training

Summary: It's a dark night when Yamapi meets him: Jin, a mysterious guy lying on the street, unconscious. But who is this guy he carries home? What is he? What's the secret behind his being? After one night he is gone...and Yamapi is left alone with all his questions. Born as a Hunter, Pi shouldn't question his life... but he can't help it. He has always been different... He takes the risk and leaves for a journey which might not have an end.
Meanwhile Jin struggles for his own destiny... together with his brother Ryo and his friend Jun. But how far are they allowed to go? Trying to pass the borders of their existence they try to find the truth... and their fate.

Jin’s fingers moved over Yamapi’s face softy, tracing every line of it, starting from the lips over his nose to his eyes.
“What are you doing?” Pi smiled a bit.
Jin chuckled. “I don’t know why… but I just like it to look at you.”
“You just want to look at me?”
Jin’s grin grew brighter, his eyes getting a teasing glance. “Want me that much?”
Pi frowned a bit. “If you don’t want to, we don’t need to.” he tried to tease back but to his anger he failed badly at that, because Jin merely laughed. Then out of a sudden Jin stopped laughing, instead he smiled warmly, leaning back a bit and rolling his head lasciviously. His hands trailed over Pi’s chest, before he turned over with a swift movement, lying on top of Pi now. Before Pi could even react properly, he could feel Jin’s lips kissing him heatedly. His lips were colder than Human lips… but they warmed up almost immediately when they touched his.
Pi’s hands stroked through Jin’s hair, burying them in it when he felt how Jin’s skilful fingers wandered down to unbutton his trouser, fingers teasing his thighs before he moved back a bit. Yamapi smiled a bit at him, before his eyes widened in shock.
Why was Jin moving away more and more? Yamapi raised his hand, trying to grasp the person in front of him, but all he could reach was a blurred shadow… before even the shadow was gone.
Yamapi woke up from his dream, looking around in panic. Then he sighed in relief. It had just been a dream. He tried to reassure himself that everything was alright… though Jin had been moving away from him. Something inside him kept bothering him because of that.
Was it a dream?
Or was it a warning?

Takki smiled a bit when he saw how the curtains of the window in his bedroom started to move a bit. He sat down on his sofa, his eyes following the slender, dark-haired guy slipping into his room.
“You can use my door, you know that, right?”
Ryo looked at Takki warily for a moment. “It’s a habit…” he finally said.
Takki smiled sympathetically. “You mean something you got used to when you were a child?”
Again Ryo paused, wondering how to answer this question. He smiled a bit when he felt Takki’s hands on his arms to pull him closer. The moment Ryo could feel the other’s warmth next to him, he felt relieved. “I used to escape through the window after fights or arguments.”
Takki had to hide a grin about this random answer. “You mean you wanted to avoid them?”
Ryo sighed silently. “That’s not exactly it. I wanted to… avoid the situation afterwards.” He lied down to his back. “When the air is all tensed and the colours around you have changed.”
“I understand that.” Takki smiled a bit, his hand stroking over Ryo’s waist. Then he smirked out of a sudden. “I just realized something…”
“What?”
Takki chuckled. “I got you into my bed…”
Ryo blinked at that, wondering how he should react to that statement, then he decided that it was worth a smile. It didn’t need more encouragement for Takki… and actually also for Ryo himself. He could feel Takki’s hands on his face, touching him tenderly. It made Ryo feel surprised about how soft and warm they were. They were able to heaten his cold body up again. And though Ryo had never believed that it would be possible… he could feel his heart beating faster.
He smiled when he realized this. He had a heart. He could feel it clearly. Maybe Takki wouldn’t understand completely what this knowledge meant for Ryo, but he would understand the feeling of it.
Ryo smiled brightly, wrapping his arms around Takki’s neck and pulling him into a deep kiss. He hadn’t expected it to be like that to sleep with someone… so intense and deep. Takki’s hands roaming over his body left burning patterns almost everywhere. He arched his back at these touches, his head going dizzy by all the things Takki was doing to him here.
Was this the reason Jun longed so much for someone to get into his bed? Did he do it for that purpose?
For a moment it erased everything, all the sadness and the doubts and the unanswered questions. Its intensity just swapped these problems away.
So this was called love-making?
Ryo liked this expression, more than all the others for it. Love-making implied so many things… because this here was love.

Yamapi blinked a bit when he walked outside into the darkness, finding Mika sitting at the ground and looking up at the sky. She smiled a bit at him.
“You can’t sleep?”
Pi shrugged helplessly. “I guess I can’t.” He sighed. “I’m restless…”
“Yes…” she mumbled more to herself than to Pi. Her gaze shifted towards Kimura who was sitting at the pier that was leading into the ocean. “He is doing that since five hours…”
Pi licked over his lips curiously. “What happened when he was wearing the necklace?”
“Takuya?”
Mika’s voice pulled Kimura out of his thoughts. He had almost gotten lost in this necklace and the things he had seen. He looked around a bit, feeling how he left this Vampire’s mind..
With a swift movement he ripped the necklace from his neck, giving it to Pi, before he grabbed Mika’s hand, pulling her with him. He had to smile a bit, because he had just realized that he didn’t need the necklace to save his friends and family.
Pi blinked in confusion. Didn’t Kimura need the necklace to save them? He frowned. But it seemed as if Kimura knew quite well what he was doing. His steps were fast and self-confident… and though he led them away from the mountains (much to Pi’s surprise), Pi suddenly realized that the guys chasing them weren’t behind them anymore.
When they paused for a moment, Mika pulled at Kimura’s hand. “Takuya? Say something! What’s going on?”
Kimura sighed a bit. “It’s not the necklace, you know… It’s not leading us. It’s our own strength, deep inside us, that leads us. The necklace’s real purpose lies somewhere else.”
“What did he mean with that?” Pi asked Mika carefully.
Mika sighed. “I don’t know. He didn’t say any more than that…”
“Maybe he didn’t find the answers yet?” Pi suggested.
But Mika shook her head. “No, he knows it. I can see it in his eyes that he knows. It’s more like… he is struggling to find the words to explain it for us. Maybe it’s something so mysterious and strange that one has to experience it to understand.”
Pi tilted his head. “I guess you are right. Just…what is so complicated that one can’t explain it?” He inspected Kimura closely. “What’s he doing right now?”
“Painting.” Mika answered shortly.
“He can paint!?”
At that she smiled. “Quite beautifully, yes.”
“Is there anything he can’t do?” Pi complained.
Mika laughed heartedly at that, sounding proud when she said the next words. “No, he can do everything.”
They both blinked when Kimura suddenly stood up, walking back into their reaction. Without any further explanation he gave the picture to Pi. Pi’s eyes widened at that. He could see it clearly… Jin’s face, with his beautiful eyes, his earnest lips, his maroon-coloured hair.
“Is that him?” Kimura asked. “The Vampire that gave you the necklace.”
“Yes.” Pi nodded in confusion.
Kimura knitted his eyebrows at that, sighing deeply. “So I was right…”
“With what?” Mika asked curiously.
“When I put on the necklace…” Kimura started carefully, not sure how to explain it correctly. “… and realized that the things that were happening to me, like me senses working better, did have nothing to do with it…”
“What?” Pi interrupted him in surprise.
“It’s our own abilities. The necklace just shows us what’s important, but it’s nothing we couldn’t achieve on our own. We just need to learn and understand our own abilities. It shows us the full amount of what we are capable of. When I understood that… it happened. The necklace showed me its real purpose”
“What kind of purpose is it?” Mika asked.
“It pulled me into someone’s mind.” Kimura mumbled, sitting down next to his wife and taking her hand into his. “I was in someone’s mind. First I thought it was the Vampire the necklace belonged to, the one who gave Tomohisa the necklace. But… it wasn’t this guy. It was someone else, because I could clearly see this Jin. All in all it were three Vampires, one of them Jin. As for the others… I don’t know. I was in the mind of one of them.”
“But you have a theory, right?” Mika asked carefully. “About the necklace and its purpose. And why you weren’t in the mind of the one who actually owns it.”
“Yes.” Kimura admitted. “But before I tell you, I need more answers. And there is something else I need…”
“What?” Pi asked curiously.
“You.“ Kimura smiled a bit. “I know I said I would never take any students or train someone. But I want to train you so that you will learn to handle the necklace. I need your connection to Jin so that it will open us the doors to understand everything. He chose you after all…”
Kimura turned around a bit to look at the sea. Did you know that, Professor, and wanted me to realize it myself? That it was never the Emperor who turned the necklace into what it became…That it was always a lie that it belonged to him?

But then I felt happy because of the Takki/Ryo intimacy. i love that we get Ryo's perspective on this and that it is Takki who is the one leading here. My favorite part is when Ryo realizes that he and Takki share love.
I love the painting of Jin, and I love that Yamapi is going to be trained by Kimura. And, like everyone else who reads this wonderful fic, i want to know the owner of the necklace.

takki and ryo surely have come to the next level. but then again, i fear for them especially ryo. i really wonder how jin will react once they get caught. it'll be a huge trouble for sure!
so who owns the necklace? we are yet to discover. it's interesting how all thee while, they thought it was jin's. but there was something in the necklace that lead to takuya's theories. i think it's clever!
