Azure Chapter 9
Title: Azure (Sequel to my Destiny One-shot) Chapter 9 (of 19): A matter of duty

Summary: It's a dark night when Yamapi meets him: Jin, a mysterious guy lying on the street, unconscious. But who is this guy he carries home? What is he? What's the secret behind his being? After one night he is gone...and Yamapi is left alone with all his questions. Born as a Hunter, Pi shouldn't question his life... but he can't help it. He has always been different... He takes the risk and leaves for a journey which might not have an end.
Meanwhile Jin struggles for his own destiny... together with his brother Ryo and his friend Jun. But how far are they allowed to go? Trying to pass the borders of their existence they try to find the truth... and their fate.

agustin1982 ), you'll find it HERESho's hands were moving over Jun's back swiftly, spreading some oil there to make Jun's muscles relax a bit. It was rare for them to share such moments, normally Jun was the rough guy, who simply took what he wanted. But occasionally he showed a rare, breakable side, which remembered Sho that Jun was a Being with emotions like everyone else.
Recently he had been especially stressed... always on an edge. Either he had called for Sho to simply take him roughly and almost painfully or he was – and that was what surprised Sho the most – simply looking for some company.
Sho didn't know what was happening or why Jun was so stressed recently, but these little moments between them he totally enjoyed, though he knew that Jun merely saw him as a quite useful toy. He continued to move is hands over Jun's trained body, his fingertips moving over some scars which never really healed. He wondered a bit how it could be that a Vampire's skin kept such scars... How were they made? Who did that?
When he touched a particularly big scar on Jun's shoulder blade he could suddenly feel the other's fingers being wrapped around his arm.
Sho blinked for a moment in surprise, before he felt how Jun pulled him down from his back, hovering above him. He grinned down at Sho, the back of his hand moving over Sho's face almost dangerously.
“Your seductive attitude is too much.” Jun's husky voice rang in Sho's ears.
“Eh?” Sho blushed for a moment. He hadn't even meant to seduce Jun, but then... in the end he always wanted him, no matter how and when. Maybe he was pathetic, but even for a small smile of Jun it was worth to live.
He felt how Jun's hands were moving over his body, before he was turned over with a swift movement. As always he instinctively shrunk back when he felt how something wet and cold was pressed into him, taking his breath away for a moment. Jun's hands grabbing his hips, holding him, it almost felt like he was embracing him... almost. Sho braced himself against the mattress, silent gasps and moans escaping his lips when he felt Jun's hips being pushed against his.
No matter how much it hurt, Jun was always able to lighten something inside him. He should have hated Jun for this...but he couldn't. And the moment he had seen him on the beach all alone, some days ago, with this thoughtful and sad expression, Sho knew that he was totally lost... He couldn't go back, not without Jun...

Yamapi bit his lips nervously. He didn't dare to say anything, Kimura was almost almighty for him and he was afraid of his reaction. So he merely kept standing a bit behind, while Mika put her hand on Kimura's shoulder, before she wrapped her arms around him.
“I'm so sorry.” she mumbled.
Kimura stayed quiet for a moment, then he put his arms around her shoulder, hugging her back. “It's okay.” he mumbled. “He had always made his own decisions...”
“Still...” Mika started, not continuing though. Maybe she didn't know what to say.
“I won't let his death be senseless.” Kimura stated out of the blue.
Yamapi's eyes widened at that. “What? You mean...”
“Let's take all the information he gave us and search for... I guess the man who gave you the necklace. Let's see if we can save him and with him our own race.” Kimura said silently.
“What do you mean?” Mika's eyes widened in surprise.
“The professor's last statement.... about who made us.” he smiled slightly. “Isn't it clear for you?”
“You mean...” Yamapi's eyes widened in surprise. “Vampires made us Hunters? They gave us the meaning of our existence? But we are hunting them!”
“That's the ironic called life.” Kimura mumbled. “We are hunting those who originally gave birth to us.”
Mika kept quiet for a moment. “If that's true...” she wavered a bit. “Then it wasn't some random Vampire awakening this spark in some people. I bet they were chosen... a group of people with special abilities... and they were made into Hunters. Their abilities and features widened and deepened, so that they were able to do unbelievable things. That's not the work of a simple Vampire!”
“You are right.” Kimura's smile grew inscrutable. “Don't you think it's strange?” He looked at Yamapi. “The things the necklace is doing to you... Didn't that happen to all of us Hunters, just not to that extent? Something in us was awakened...”
Yamapi frowned, trying to grasp what Kimura was saying, then his eyes widened. “You mean our existence is the opposite of the necklace? Someone made us to fight the power of it!?”
Mika gasped at that. “Which means... someone made you to save the Emperor's family and his successors.”
“Yes.” Kimura mumbled. “Which means... that the only person who made us is the...”
“...Empress...” Yamapi's eyes widened. “We are the Empress army. An army that got out of control... but our original meaning is still in some of us!”
“This Vampire named Jin, her grand-grand-grand-grand-grand-son, gave you the necklace out of an instinct. I bet he saw it in you, without knowing it himself... hope and a chance. If we follow our meaning, we have to save him... and his brother.”
“The reincarnations of the Emperor and the Empress.” Mika said silently. “I might also be your own rescue...”
Yamapi frowned. “We need to be rescued?”
Mika smiled a bit. “You need to find your destiny... and your purpose. With that all the balance in the world might be stable again. The deeper meaning of all this, we still have to find out though. How to save these two Vampires? How to stop this cruel fate? How could this all happen? What can a Hunter do with this necklace? There is still so much open... We have to find these answers.”
“Yes.” Kimura agreed. “Hence we'll be using the necklace to find its owner.”
Yamapi had listened to what Mika said, his eyes twitching in surprise and expectance. They finally came down to it... finally there was a path, something he could follow. All his life he had felt restless and without a meaning... now he had found a clue. Living to rescue and protect someone else... Wasn't that a beautiful meaning?
The mere thought that he was connected with such a mesmerizing being like Jin... that Jin had chosen him... was already overwhelming him.

“What are you doing here?” Takki smiled at the dark-haired guy, following his gaze. “Are you watching the stars?”
“Don't you think it's amazing...?” Ryo asked instead of answering the question. “That there is something so wide and huge above us... something we might never understand? That we are just a tiny spark in this place that's called the universe? That we are nothing compared to what's going on elsewhere? That our importance goes just as far as this world we live in goes?”
Takki tilted his head, lying down next to the other. “It's an overwhelming thought... almost scaring...”
“Do you think so?” Ryo mused. “Isn't it actually a relief that not everything in this huge world needs to be done and solved by us? Not everything is lying on our shoulders...” he stopped out of a sudden when he felt Takki's hand moving over his face softly. “What are you doing?”
“Don't stop talking.” Takki smiled, his fingertips wandering over Ryo's lips.
“I'm a Vampire.” Ryo stated simply, but not able to hold back the slight shyness and fear in his voice. Fear of rejection.
“And?” Takki smiled. “Didn't you say it yourself? Compared to the wideness of the universe we are nothing... What does the difference between the races mean then?”
“Nothing.” Ryo answered, a careful smile on his lips. He didn't move away when Takki bent forward a bit, his hand resting on Ryo's stomach now. Somewhere far away he could hear Jin's voice... he could see an image of him, bursting into wrath, when he knew that Ryo was falling for a Human. What would that mean for them? How would that change their fate? Ryo almost felt afraid, but there was also another voice... a beautiful and soft and calm voice, calling him from far away. He knew this voice... it was his own conscience, his own strength, calling him to reach out to change his fate on his own. So just like that, he stayed still, until he felt Takki's lips kissing him softly.
A/N: *g* I love my new layout, but honsetly...whatever I post, it looks so little. Though this Chapter had various pages in words, here it looks like nothing. ^_^
Okay, Ryo is surprisingly well aware of the danger of loving Takki, right?
And Kimura, Pi and Mika realized some important details...

First, you know how I love Sho. He is like a shining light of hope, fighting the most incredible odds, that Jun will one day see him as more than a toy. I love how Sho is trying to soothe Jun in this scene as he contemplates how far gone he is. And once again Jun treats him the same, or is there something with Sho touching the scar--did he get too close?
Yamapi, Kimura and Mika find their purpose. Ahh Mika once again, such a great character, calms down Kimura and also finds her place in their quest. I love how you write her. I don't think I can ever say that enough. Yamapi embraces his new purpose, but also I love how happy he is that his destiny has to do with Jin. It is the ties between them that will save them i think. The connections they are feeling now. The empress must have been truly extraordinary to create a race to try to save generations of her family.
And Ryo, he is learning to trust himself ne. He must if he is to go against his brother's wishes. Takki and Ryo, I love their interaction here--truly beautiful.
I am excited to not know. If that makes any sense at all, what will ultimately save them in the end. In one of my favorite books, "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeline L'engle, the main character Meg, before she is to go into great danger, is given a gift by another character-- Mrs. Whatsit. She says to Meg, "Meg I give you your faults." I think that it is our "faults" that our important when we face great danger, because acting in spite of them often brings the greatest courage. I sense that this might be the case in this fic especially with Yamapi, Ryo, and Sho. Sorry for the rambling.:D

Hm, I think for Jun the scar is something that is part of his past and he doesn't want anyone to touch his past... that's why he immediately reacted to Sho. Besides... that Jun can't let go that easily, he can't relax. But at least he lets Sho comfort him for a moment...
Actually Mika is in a difficult position, right? Because she is living together with a Hunter and she is even getting his baby. But she doesn't think that way. For her it's nothing difficult at all.
These three definitely are showing some courage... and, well, they'll need it, right?
Ryo is in a difficult position too, just like Mika. But for him it's not that simple. He is not a normal Vampire after all. But we'll get more details about that later ^_^

You are right, Sho and Ryo are definitely going into this direction. As for Pi...I'm not sure yet, but I guess he is ^^ Maybe also Jun and Jin?

ryo forever talking in deep words. i admire his thinking. he's really different and that's what makes his character really interesting. he's hard to read but it seems like takki understands him so well. but jin is going to be a problem, for sure. and it scares him. i wonder if that could be a reason for the 'fate' of the brothers to happen. i can't wait for the more intense chapters. i hope yamapi and kimura find them, soon. that'd create a lot of emotions for sure! yay! thanks for this !:)

Takki and Ryo are so cute, and Takki is right, what are they in the huge universe?! But I also understand Ryo's fear and worry, because Jin won't agree to their relationship.
Poor Sho, but somehow he choses his life ... and he takes Jun, he wants him, no matter what. I don't know it, but somehow I think that Jun has a soft side, but he can't show it.
Ah, so the Hunters are the empresses enemy?! They were made and they forgot about their fate. ^^
