Pi smiled a bit. He was lying on the ground now, next to Kimura, looking up at the sky. “So you simply fell in love?”
Kimura laughed “You wanted a more complicated and deep story?” He grinned, before he got earnest again. “Don't underestimate love. It can change people...”
“Did you also have doubts? I mean before you met her?” Pi wanted to know.
Kimura winced a bit, fighting an inner fight against himself. Then he sighed. “Truth is...no. I wasn't raised in that way. I'm coming from a family, where every Hunter gets trained in an almost inhuman way. It's as if you totally switch off all emotions, so that you can survive that.” He looked up at the sky. “I was actually supposed to kill her, but I couldn't.” He smiled at Pi. “I wasn't like you. You had doubts from the beginning on and avoided the unreasonable killing of other creatures. But I had to learn it first. You know...” he paused here. “I think there is more to our existence than simply killing those who are different. What kind of existence is that anyway? Running around and killing everyone who isn't part of our race or the Human race, even if the demon or Vampire didn’t do anything? Killing because the other creature is a potential danger?”
“Exactly!” Pi nodded his head. “I always hated that attitude. I always felt that there is something inside us...somethng we don't really understand. Just what is it?"
Kimura sighed a bit. "I honestly don't know... though I feel the same. I don't know what it is that is sparkling and hiding inside us, but I feel that it's huge. I don't understand it yet, but I'm trying to. And I will. One more reason to help you... Maybe it also leads to other answers."
Yamapi sat up to look at the older one. “What are we going to do now? Or...what am I going to do now?”
Kimura looked at Pi thoughtfully. “200 km away from here there is a town… There is someone important living there. We need to see him… he might give us answers.”
“What about Mika-san?”
Kimura smiled warmly. “I can't take her along. It's too dangerous. Here she will be safe... there are charms and magic protecting this place. I'll accompany you and then return to this place.”
Pi smirked a bit. “You think she is the kind of woman who waits here instead of following us?”
Kimura grumbled a bit. “Most likely she will try and follow us.” he admitted. “We have to be careful...”

“You are leaving so early already?” Jin looked up from a few documents, blinking at Ryo.
Ryo tilted his head a bit. “Do you want me to stay?”
Again Jin felt how the younger one had taken the fundament of his question apart. “Of course not.” he mumbled in confusion “I just wondered...” He sighed silently, actually just wanting to tell his brother to spend the day with him, because they hadn't done that since weeks. That he missed his smile and being around him. But he couldn't tell him that...
"Okay, then. Bye.” Ryo answered simply. Jin looked at Ryo helplessly as the latter disappeared through the door. For a moment he considered to follow him but then he sighed about his own thoughts. Ryo was a free Vampire after all... he couldn't spy on him like that. If he wanted to go and paint something or be alone, it was totally okay. Just that Jin really wished to be able to look into this closed mind of his brother. Just once. He looked up when the door opened again, eyes shining in hope that it would be Ryo and that he would be able to spend the day with him. But to his surprise it was just Jun.
“What?” Jun pulled an eyebrow up when he saw the disappointed expression on Jin's face. “So happy to see me again?”
Jin smiled a bit. “Don't be stupid. I was just being absent-minded.”
“Ah.” Jun nodded his head. He looked at Jin for a moment, considering to ask more questions, but then he decided not to do so. Something inside him held him held him back.
“So?” Jin coughed a bit, trying to change the topic. “Did you go hunting?”
Jun frowned deeply, an angry expression appearing on his face. “No.” he hissed out.
Jin pulled an eyebrow up. “No?” he sneered.
“Oh, just shut up!” Jun grumbled, glaring at Jin dangerously. He was already pretty annoyed himself that Ryo's little speech from last night and their tiny fight had such an effect on him. Suddenly he hadn't had the motivation to hunt at all. Ryo looking at him as if he was a monster? Somehow Jun didn't like that. He grumbled a bit. “Thanks to your adorable younger brother I'm feeling frustrated now.” He glared at Jin when he saw the other's grin. “I need distraction... I guess I will call for my boytoy...”

Takki's eyes caught him immediately. Apparently he had been swimming in the ocean a bit before he took the way over the beach towards the sun-flower field. His wet hair was glimmering in the sun now, making him look almost too adorable. Takki smiled a bit at that. Was it possible to say adorable to a young man like him? To such a dangerous creature? But he couldn't help it, he just had the urge to brush through this hair with all his fingers, wanting to know how it felt. Curly? Thick? Soft? Takki smiled a bit over his own thought.
Apparently the other had seen his glances, because now he turned around. Takki blinked a bit, wondering if he had really seen a smile on the other's face. It was just a short moment though and Takki wasn't sure if it had really been there. What he knew though was that the other guy didn't take his eyes from him anymore.
When Takki looked at him through questioning eyes, a slight flush crawled about the other's cheeks. “I'm Takki. And what's your name?” Takki asked carefully. It was the first question he had asked…the first time he talked to him.
Obviously the beautiful dark-haired guy was a bit surprised by his question. He looked down at the floor, apparently feeling embarrassed, then he looked into Takki's eyes directly. For the first time Takki could see into his eyes. It took his breath away from what he saw there. So deep. And no mirror in his eyes…he couldn’t see himself in them. It was just a deep dive right into his soul. Takki knew he should think about what the other was... clearly no Human... but he didn't care at all.
The other's tongue licked over his lip nervously, as if he was nervous to tell him his name. Takki frowned in surprise. What was this guy afraid of? But to his relief, Ryo's lip turned from a nervous twitching into a slight smile. “Ryo.” he looked up to the sky, an almost thankful expression on his face. “You are really alive...”
The moment Ryo had said it he knew several things. First of all, that it was the truth. He was glad that Takki was still alive and that Jun didn't find him last night and killed him. Second: He felt helpless. Something inside him worked on his own. He found himself feeling things he hadn't felt before. He heard himself saying strange things, stranger than usual. Third: His heart started to make strange thing when Takki was around, his stomach almost hurting. Whenever he wasn't around he felt worried. What if something happened to him? Fourth... and most important: Jin would kill him for what he did... because he even told the other his name. His real name. He couldn't help it. He just had to answer honestly. It wasn’t exactly about the name, it was more about opening up. He had presented a part of his person to the other, making himself vulnerable. He didn't even want to imagine what Jin would do to him if he knew. Even the mere thought of it made him shiver, but now it had happened. He had said it. Jin could be scary. Ryo knew he was holding back and fighting against it and he did pretty well, but when he knew about THAT... Ryo shivered a bit. And though he felt afraid of Jin's reaction, he also felt strangely relieved and amused.
Takki was a human.
Fate liked to make fun of them. Definitely.

Yamapi tried hard not to giggle when he eyed Kimura's almost angry face. Mika-san was walking next to him, smiling at them happily. It was enough for her to be at his side, apparently that was the reason why Kimura didn't force her to stay at home. How could he take the reason for her life from her? He was the most important thing in her life, without him... she couldn't even imagine it.
Yamapi smiled a bit when he saw how Kimura put an arm around her shoulder, kissing her forehead softly, one of his hands brushing over her stomach to feel the growing baby inside. Pi didn't know why but suddenly he longed for it too... not for a baby of course, but for simply being touched in such a loving way.
Jin...
No matter how hard he tried, the name never left his mind, Jin's image, his piercing eyes, his wary smile, his stunning beauty, his cryptic words, always slipping into his mind.
Kimura sighed a bit, pulling him out of his thoughts. “You were right when you told me that she wouldn’t stay at home.” He wanted to sound grumpy, but couldn't help a fond tune in his voice. Yamapi smiled a bit at that, deciding that it was not something one answered to. Instead he decided to go for another question. “Where are we going to?”
Kimura smiled a bit. “We are visiting my old professor. A man who taught me a lot...”
“Old?” Mika wondered. “How old?”
Kimura chuckled. “Old.”
Yamapi listened to their conversation, wondering where Kimura was taking him to. He looked down at the necklace, dangling around his neck. What kind of weapon was this? He sighed a bit, looking up at the sky, feeling how the tiny amount of sunlight, almost covered completely by clouds, got reflected in the jewel, throwing glittering patterns on his skin. Strangely it felt warm. Pi frowned a bit. Wasn't it amazing what kind of power the sun was having?
A/N: So...Kimura-kun and Yamapi mentioned something important... Well, let's see if they will find their answers^^
And Ryo... got deeper into this than he had planned to.
