Requested by: [livejournal.com profile] are_in. She requested such an interesting plot that I decided to make a Mini-Series out of it. I hope you'll enjoy it!!

Note: Awww, I feel sad that it's already the end... but I didn't want to push it into another chapter forcefully. Maybe I will make a '6-months-later'-Sequel.

Kame turned around, running down the street into the opposite direction, searching for his car. He jumped into it, dashing to the one place he knew that Yuki still felt attached to. Their former house where they lived together with their parents… until they died.

Kame parked his car near the place, slowly walking around the house, inspecting the area closely. There was a park nearby but no Yuki there. Kame sighed before his gaze shifted towards a small lake near the place. He tilted his head a bit, silently walking towards this lake, stumbling here and there as he couldn’t see properly through the night. The rain went down more forcefully now and Kame was already soaking wet. He frowned in worry when he realised that Yuki had been somewhere outside the whole time… sitting in the rain. Kame bent down a bit, crawling through some bushes, ignoring the pain from the branches hitting his face. When he finally reached the small path around the sea, he stopped, looking around properly, knitting his eyebrows to be able to see through the rain and gloominess better. His stomach almost clenched painfully when he suddenly recognized a little figure sitting on one of the rocks, directly at the water.

Kame sighed in relief. It was not difficult to recognize the person… because it was like recognizing himself. His heart made a relieved jump when he dashed forward towards his brother.

Yuki almost jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around a bit, eyes widening in surprise. “Kazu?” he blinked, seriously wondering about his brother’s presence here. His eyes shining innocently.

When Kame heard his brother’s surprise, realizing that the other had just been dozing off here, he frowned deeply. He had been searching for Yuki since hours, the whole day, and now it was deep night, and Yuki had just been going...for a walk!? Didn't he even realize what he had done to Kame here? He knitted his eyebrows angrily, a dangerous glint in his eyes. He raised his hand like a flash, slapping his brother across his face. “How could you do that to me!?” he sobbed out. “I was worried like hell…”

Yuki’s eyes widened in shock. He rubbed over his cheek a bit, looking down at the ground sheepishly. “Sorry…” he finally mumbled, feeling tears burning behind his eyes. For the first time he recognized the rain and darkness around him. Then he looked up at Kame who was still panting heavily from all the running and stress. “I didn’t even realize that it became night…”

Kame sighed a bit, feeling too relieved to be angry or grumpy. He put his wet arms around his brother’s neck, pulling him into a hug. “You really are the most bothersome brother in the world…”

What?“ Jin blinked in surprise when he heard about Ryo’s encounter with Kame. “Are you sure?”

“Jin…” Ryo grumbled in annoyance. “I was there, you know?”

“Of course I know that.” Jin smiled softly to calm Ryo down a bit. “I just meant: Are you sure you read the signs correctly?”

Ryo gulped a bit. “I…” he looked down at the floor. “…we were almost kissing on my birthday party… and then we met today during Yoko’s comic convention. And we kissed there… he was the one holding me back and kissing me. And then he suddenly jumped back from me and told me that he can’t be together with me.”

Jin blinked in confusion. “But… that doesn’t make any sense. Kame would never treat someone like that.”

Ryo pulled one of his eyebrows up, looking at Jin in surprise.

“I know…” Jin sighed. “Normally I’m the last person who defends Kame, but really… He isn’t the type of person who would treat someone like that. He would never kiss you if he didn’t feel anything. Maybe he was just feeling sick for a moment?” he suggested. “Or something else was off…”

“You really think so?” Ryo asked carefully.

Jin smiled. “You know Ryo, I think you should have a bit more faith in people. And I think you should talk to Kame and give him a chance to explain everything.”

Ryo sighed a bit, before he grinned, sticking his tongue out at Jin. “Really…people in love are always so cheesy!” he sneered.

“Silly.” Jin huffed at that, throwing a pillow into Ryo’s direction.

Ryo giggled a bit, throwing the pillow back to his friends. “It’s not my fault that you are all lovey-dovey…” he teased, mock-musing a bit. “Though I can understand you… Pi surely is attractive.” He grinned at Jin’s both amused and grumpy expression. “He has a nice butt after all.”

Jin grinned before was up his feet out of a sudden, rushing towards Ryo before the latter could jump up and run away from him, and tickled him, ignoring Ryo’s protest and his fingers that were scratching him almost painfully. A few minutes later they both dropped down on the sofa, feeling totally exhausted. Jin inspected the scratches on his arms. “You know Ryo, sometimes you are like a little cat…” he grinned. “Next time bite the turtle please.”

“Here.” Kame threw a towel towards his brother when they finally reached their apartment. Kame had just called Koki and asked him to stop the search since he already found Yuki.

“Thanks.” Yuki smiled a bit, grabbing the towel and cleaning himself up a bit. “I’ll take a shower first.”

Kame watched how Yuki walked into the bathroom, biting his lips a bit. Then he sighed. “Yuki-chan?”

“Hm?” Yuki turned around, looking at his brother curiously.

Kame smiled apologetically. “Sorry for slapping you.” he finally said.

“It’s okay.” Yuki shrugged. “I guess I deserved that.”

Kame sighed nervously, looking out of the window. “And about Ryo…”

“You know…” Yuki interrupted him. “Could we talk about that later?”

Sure.” Kame smiled a bit at his brother. When Yuki had closed the door to the bathroom, Kame took the towel, drying his hair a bit. He wasn’t that wet like Yuki, but a hot tea wouldn’t do any harm right now. Ten minutes later he placed two cups of tea on the table in front of to the living room’s sofa, smiling a bit towards his brother when he came out of the bathroom. “Feeling better?”

“Yes.” Yuki sighed contently when he felt warm inside again.

“Here.” Kame pointed at the tea, smiling warmly when Yuki dropped down at the sofa next to him and grabbed the cup thankfully.

“You know.” Yuki started after a few minutes of silence. “You could have told me that you like him.”

“Maybe.” Kame sighed tiredly. “But… you liked him too and I have to protect you, so…”

“No!” Yuki interrupted him fiercely. “You don’t have to protect me anymore.” When Kame blinked at him in surprise, looking almost hurt, Yuki shook his head a bit. “I don’t mean it like that… Of course I will always need your support and your help, but I shouldn’t rely on you all the time. I can handle my problems on my own… That’s what I was thinking when I was sitting in the rain before. I should watch out for me on my own and face my problems. And you should face yours. It's time for me to grow up...”

Kame grinned a bit. “Wow. Since when are you so mature…?”

“Hey…” Yuki kicked him playfully. “I just like it when you are spoiling me…”

“Yes you do.” Kame chuckled.

“But…” Yuki took a deep breath. “..with Ryo… You shouldn’t have pretended like you didn’t care for him. I wondered all the time why you looked so absent-minded and hurt.”

Kame sighed slightly, looking at his brother insistently. “I don’t want to hurt you…”

“Yeah…” Yuki nodded his head. “and I don’t want to hurt you…” He smiled a bit. “You like Ryo… and he likes you. If I had known that, I wouldn’t have insisted to get him. I wouldn’t even have recognized him like that… Going for my brother's guy...never.”

Kame tilted his head a bit. “That does make sense…”

“Of course it does.” Yuki grinned proudly. “I'm a good guy after all. I think you should talk to him. I bet he thinks that you are insane… Koki-kun told me that he hasn’t much trust in others…”

Kame blinked in surprise. “Koki?”

“Yes, we met recently.” Yuki explained, smiling a bit. “And he told me some things about the other guys.”

“Koki?”

“Yes.”

“Koki?”

Yuki frowned at that. “Why are you repeating his name all the time? Yes, Koki!”

“I just wanted to make sure.” Kame grinned.

“Sure? About what?” the other wanted to know.

“Secret.” Kame teased.

Yuki peeked through the shop-window, sighing contently when he saw some pieces of strawberry cake there. He grinned, slipping into the shop to buy some of it. Then his eyes grew wide when he found a well-known person at one of the tables.

“Koki-kun?” he blinked.

“Ah…” Koki looked up from his coffee, inspecting the figure in front of him. “You are Yuki-kun, right?”

Yuki grinned. “It’s not that hard to tell… Kazu and I are completely different.” He looked at Koki thoroughly, sighing a bit. “Sorry for the fuss I made yesterday.”

Koki made a dismissive gesture with his hand, thinking that this Yuki guy was way too cute to be angry at. Just like Kame…but softer and sweeter. “Don’t worry about that! Are you okay now?”

“I never felt better.” Yuki smiled. “Somehow relieved…”

“Good.” Koki chuckled. “Then grab a cake and sit down, if you like to.”

“Sure. Why not?”

Ryo almost jumped out of his bed when he heard his doorbell ringing. He looked at the clock on his bedside table grumpily, crawling out of his bed and walking towards the door, opening it sleepily. “Kazuya-kun?” Ryo blinked in surprise at the person in front of him.

“Hi.” Kame mumbled.

Ryo frowned a bit. “It’s past midnight.” He grumbled.

“Oh.” Kame’s eyes grew wide for a moment, then he sighed deeply. He totally oversaw the time… just like Yuki would do it. “I’m sorry. I just… well… I spent around five hours in front of this building.”

Ryo blinked. “Why didn’t you come up earlier then?”

Kame blushed a bit. “I guess I needed to gather my courage…” He tilted his head. “Can I come in?”

Ryo wavered a bit. “I’m not sure…” he mumbled, inspecting Kame’s figure closely. “What kind of Kame is standing in front of me right now?”

The normal one.” Kame smiled. “The one that’s not running away.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes.”

Alright then.” Ryo smiled a bit at that, trying to remember Jin's words.

Now it was Kame’s turn to blink. “Are you sure?”

“Yes.”

Kame stared at the other in surprise. “But... aren't you angry? Don't you want me to...you know... fight a bit?”

Ryo shrugged. “I think there happened enough complicated stuff. And I don’t feel like making it even more complicated between us.”

Kame smiled at these words, his hands brushing over Ryo's arms carefully. “I can explain you everything.” he promised, looking at the other warmly, his heart beating faster when he realised that he was back in Ryo’s life and Ryo was back in his life… this time for real. He smiled happily at that, his stomach twisting, but not painfully this time. He took Ryo’s hand into his, his thumb brushing over the other’s hand while he followed Ryo into his apartment. He closed the door behind him, hugging Ryo from behind, before Ryo turned around a bit, looking directly into his eyes. Kame's heart made a jump when he wrapped his arms around the other's chest, placing a soft kiss on the Ryo's lips.

This time for real, he thought.
